On one of the finest inland sailing lakes in the South in one of the most versatile one-design sail boats ever built, the members of Flying Scot Fleet 158 "Bombers" enjoy year round sailing activities.

The Flying Scot is perfect for day sailing with family and friends or an excellent racer easily crewed by two.

Our mentoring philosophy is expressed in a variety of social, competitive, and instructional activities. We embrace the view that sailing is fun and those who learn and improve their sailing skills have the greatest fun.

The MC Scow, 16 feet of sailing fun, is one of the most popular and fastest growing one-design boats in the US today. It is a boat for everyone. The MC Scow class features separate sailing divisions ranging from the Youth Division (under 21) to the Old Salt Division (over 75!) Easy to rig, launch, and retrieve, the MC Scow is a blast to sail!

Here at Lake Murray Sailing Club, Fleet 89 is a large and very energetic group of sailors focused on making sure that everyone is having fun. Every Wednesday sees us involved in training, racing, or perhaps a "social" sail for a bit of changup. On alternate Sundays we have a year long competitive series. We have lots of local sailing year round!

While the MC is a great boat, the people are the best part. To see just how much fun we have together, come out and visit. You will be glad you did!
