RC/Safety assignments for 2024

Abe, or the Fleet Primary (PRO when Abe is unavailable), will require at least 3 people to conduct a good series. Depending on the number of boats and the weather, 4 may be necessary.

We must have sufficient people in place for well run and safe events. If Abe has the necessary number of volunteers, fleet assisance may not be required. It is the Fleet PRO's responsibility to work with Abe to ensure a solid RC crew is available for his or her assigned date. If Abe has a single vacant position, the PRO assists and the Secondary can be released. If two, the Secondary will also assist. If Abe is not available, the assigned PRO should attempt to recruit a 3rd assistant. Feel free to check with Allan for guidance if you need assistance with this responsibility.

Names for RC duty were drawn randomly. If you find you are assigned a date in unavoidable conflict with your personal calendar, please reach out to one of those assigned an alternate date to see if a trade is possible. If your best effort at a trade is unsuccessful, please contact Allan immediately so that the necessary adjustment can be made.

Our scoring system takes into account RC duty by awarding you the average of all your races excluding DNC. You will not lose points as a result of perfoming this important fleet duty.
