LMSA exists exclusively via charitable donations in the form of cash or in-kind merchandise. There are no salaried employees and all proceeds are used in the day to day operation of the organization. One hundred percent of the proceeds are utilized for adult and youth training programs or to purchase and maintain the boats and equipment essential for training.

We will be happy to discuss the benefit to you and the association. Financial support is always appreciated and will be put to good use in the association programs.

The association uses some very specific boats for its training programs. These include the Flying Scot, MC Scow, Flying Junior, Laser, and Open Bic. However, we can always turn your boat of any design into a cash donation by handling the sale of the boat. This type of transaction can free you of the financial, tax, and maintenance responsibilities for the donated boat. In addition, because LMSA is a recognized charitable organization, you will receive a donation reciept for an appropriate amount that will reduce your taxable income for the year. LMSA can always use help in the form of time and energy. We use volunteers to help with training in our “Introduction to Sailing” and “Start Sailing Right” classes. In addition, we can use help in our summer youth programs and with boat maintenance.
